A little bit about me...Having grown up in Westport, SD I attended grade school, junior high, and high school in the Frederick Area School District. In 2004 I graduated from Frederick High School. Following high school I decided to further my education at Northern State University where I truly developed and nurtured my love of the sciences. In 2008 I graduated with honors and earned a Baccalaureate of Science degree with a double major in Biology and Environmental Science with a concentration in Wildlife Management. After a brief stint as a substitute teacher it was clear to me that I had a desire to teach and share my love of the sciences with youth. I enrolled in education classes at NSU in early 2009. My teaching career began at Leola High School in August of 2012. As you can see I'm a huge fan of Green Bay Packers football. I'm also a Minnesota Twins fan and generally enjoy watching or playing most sports. In my spare time I try to spend as much time outdoors as possible. Fishing, camping, bonfires, and spending time at the lake are some pastimes that I enjoy. Other passions of mine include photography, reading, spending time with family and friends, card and board games, as well as cooking and baking.
